The Maestro™-FB21 USB SmartHub provides 6 USB2.0 downstream ports. The -FB21 is different from most USB hubs on the market in its advanced packet switching technology.
Most USB2.0 hubs operating at USB1.1 data rate share the 12Mb/s bandwidth between all downstream USB1.1 ports. The Maestro-FB21 allows each USB1.1 device connected to operate at their full 12Mb/s bandwidth. This provides greater usable downstream bandwidth to each of the connected USB 1.1 devices by cleverly multiplexing the downstream ports onto the upstream 480Mb/s data stream.
Furthermore the hub will operate at USB2.0 rates upstream even if all downstram ports are connected to USB1.1 devices. In this way, you can simultaneously operate 6 USB1.1 devices at their full bandwidth of 12Mb/s. Try doing that with other hubs.
