located in Adelaide, South Australia. Activities include research,
product development, systems integration, software development and production assembly.
Founded
in 1995 the company has expanded its customer base throughout
Australasia to
include research institutions, government labs, defense
departments, military contractors,
telecom equipment manufacturers, network system installers
and optical component
manufacturers. Whilst Fiberbyte’s early focus
was on high power lasers for industrial and
military applications.
In
September 2002 Fiberbyte became a subsidiary of Silex
Systems Ltd (ASX:SLX), a
technology based public company located in Sydney Australia.
